AN ASBESTOS INTERIOR.
n -Ncsrb door to the Newmarket Borough Council offices a handsome little twostorey shop is being erected in brick for ' Mr,. Fish, paperhanger. A feature of the . shop is the interior finish, which is being out in asbestos panels and an .■?;;. oiled rirau dado, giving a nicely-finished 5;, i appearance. The frontage is on a small i.-' corner giving large window-space. A : tile-and-mirror front is being fitted, and v also a suspension verandah, making the ■••-••■..building almost a model one in modern ; • Architecture. The design was by Mr. H. S. Morran, while Mr. IT. Jenkins is the • bander. I, is on a site adjoining the "' ; v\ s Wist Brothers' institution, and is of ■v practically the same design. It has six "|*4 7Af* srooms and a hall measuring 44ft by ' ' wft. Messrs. E. Mahoney and Sons were th? architects, and Messrs. W. Grevatt Bn d Son the builders. . Three new brick shops are being built • 'i !!! ponsonby Road, near the Three Lamps, " V" ,lr- J- D. Jones. Each is of the locktypo, and measures 12ft frontage by ' •>■/,.'• depth. Messrs. E. Mahonev and arc the architects.
