POLICE HEADQUARTERS.
TRANSFER FROM THAMES TO
HAMILTON.
(BY TELEGRAPH.OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Hamilton, Tuesday. Inspector Wright, who has hitherto been stationed at the Thames, has received notification that the headquarters of the police district would be changed to Hamilton from, next month. Inspector Wright was in Hamilton yesterday making arrangements for the transfer.
It is some twenty years since Hamilton was the headquarters of a police district, when Inspector Emerson was in charge.
AUCKLAND • BOUNDARIES ALTERED.
The boundaries of the Auckland police district are to undergo an alteration. Inspector Mitchell informed a Herald representative last night that Huntly and 14 stations south of Huntly, ; including King Country stations, are to be added to the district in charge of Inspector Wright, with headquarters at Hamilton, and the district will in future be known as the Hamilton police district.
