COMMITTEE STAGE PASSED.

MEETING OF NEW 1 PARLIA-

MENT.

DELAYED FOR A YEAR.

"TRIUMPH OF ORANGEISM."

By Telegraph.— Association.—Copyright. ■ \. (Received January 14, 9.55 p.m.)

London, January 14. The committee stage of the discussion on the Home Rule Bill was completed in the House of Commons last night amidst cheers from the Nationalist and Liberal members.

The Government carried an amendment fixing the summoning of the Irish Parliament not later than four months after the first Tuesday in the eighth month after the passage of the Bill. - ■ Mr. Tim Healy (Nationalist member for North-east Cork) contended that the delay of a year had been invented to permit of the submission of the Bill to a general election on the results of which the Irish Party would be asked to. gamble their existence. The new clause, he said, represented the triumph of Qrangeism. .■:] , ■ ' The remaining clause? of the Bill were passed under the. guillotine. Notice has been given by Mr. A. J. Balfour in the House of Commons to move the rejection of the Bill when it comes up for the third readlin ' '.'■/, . ■
