CHRISTMAS FAIR AT BIRKENHEAD.
A CintisTMAS fair in aid of All Saints' Anglican Church at Birkenhead was opened in the Birkenhead Foresters' Hall on Friday night by r the,Jlov. ."Air. , Young, the vicar. The hall was crowded, and the two Christmas trees, in charge of Mrs. Woodhouse and tho Sunday-school teachers, were tho principal attractions, while an orchestra contributed largely to the success of the 'gathering. ■ The work stall was in charge-of- Mesdames Wood, Hall, and Whiter, tho general was in charge of ' -(Several ■ gentlemen,' while- Miss Spilrling presided-.over tho ico-cream and strawberry stall. Tho fair proved most successful and enjoyable to the large number present.
