NEW GERMAN GUNS.
ENORMOUS WEAPONS,
A fmsh and important departure in tho competition between the nations to obtain the most formidable warship and the most powerful gun has been made by the German Admiralty. Fifteen-inch guns are being mounted in the ships which Germany laid down last year.
These aro enormous weapons of "terrific power, weighing 101 tons and measuring 62ft in length. Moreover, according to the same information, Win guns have been mounted in the German battleships of the Kaiser class, which have hitherto been supposed, to bo armed only with 12in guns.
