TAMAKI WEST ROAD BOARD.
THE fortnightly meeting of the Tamaki West Road Board was held last night. Present: Jlessra. J- W. Andrew (acting chairman). K. O. Brookileld. and E. Pilkington. It was decided to take a poll on January 18 ou a proposal to raise a loan of £500 for improvements to the St. Helicrs Domain. Plans for Mr. E. T. Field's subdivision of property in the Avenue, St. Hellers Bav, were approved. It was decided to communicate with the Auckland Harbour Hoard asking that a better light be provided on St. lleliers Bay Wharf yi place of tho small oil lamp at present in use. Some time ago tho Harbour Board promised to remedy this defect, but the new liirht has not been used, and consequently it. is considered that there is great danger to vessels using the wharf at night. It was also decided to write asking the Harbour Board to take stops to have removed the uncharted rock near Kohimarama Wharf.
