DEATH BY SUFFOCATION.

An inquest was held this afternoon on the body of John Wiseman Gray, the young man who was found dead in a vat at the Union Brewery yesterday. A verdict of accidental death caused by asphyxia through inhaling fumes from the vat was returned.
KILLED BY A RUNAWAY HORSE.

Wellington. Friday.
At the- inquest on Arthur Kirkc, who was killed by a runaway horse in Willisstreet, a verdict was returned that death was due to fracture of the base of tho skull, due to injuries received from a horse, wliich had escaped and galloped down the street.
