CANADA'S SALVATION.
DUE TO FRENCH RESIDENTS
MB. BOURASSA'S VIEW.
By Telegraph —Press Association.— Toronto, December 4. M. Henri Bourassa, leader of the French Nationalists, says that only the French Canadians have prevented the Americanisation of Canada.
The prevalance of the French language, he says, has formed the chief barrier against the absorption of American ideas and methods.
If the English language were forced upon the French Canadian, Mr. Bourassa says, the result would not be to Anglicise him, but to Americanise him.
