TRAGEDY OF A PARTY.

THE HOST SHOT DEAD. -GUEST WITH A REVOLVER. '' By Telegraph.—Treat Association— Melbourne, December 5. The inquest on Eobert McGregor, or Mc'Crindle, who died after being shot at ■VPrahran on November 16, was concluded 'V to-day. A young woman who liveJ, with de--7 ceased stated that a girl informed her that jjj one of the guests was carrying a revolver. * The witness asked McCrindle at the 'hospital who his assailant was, and he reypfied " the fellow, with the revolver." The . gui previously mentioned accompanied the man with the revolver to the party. She remarked to witness, " I don't . want meaning the man with the revolver ■ —"Move Paddy"—meaning McCrindle. The medical evidence showed that there ; was -no indication of alcohol about the deceased.

The Coroner returned an open verdict. Ho said, the party was just an orgy. 'It was the worst case he had come across in ten years' experience as Coroner. Several of the witnesses had more or less suppressed the truth.
