SUNDAY PARADES.
[BY TKLEGRAPn.—PIIKSS ASSOCIATION".] DtrxEDTN, Wednesday. A deputation from the Dnnedin Presbytery waited on the Minister for Defence (Hon. Jaa. Allen) to-day with reference, to the military parades on Sunday. It was stated that pressure had been brought to bear on certain boys to attend drill on that day and the deputation asked for a discontinuance of such parades.
./The Minister promised to go thoroughly into the matter on returning to Wellington.
THE COMMANDANT'S VIEW. [BY ' TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Wednesday. The Commandant of the New Zealand Forces (Major-General God ley), interviewed regarding the protest against Sunday training, said that no doubt a (satisfactory arrangement could bo arrived at. There had been no training of cadets on Sunday.
