THE WEDNESDAY COMPETITION. The fourth round of the Wednesday Cricket Association's competition was played yesterday afternoon in lino weather. Wickets were on the slow side. The match between the Dairymen and Karangahapo, resulted in a victory for the Dairymen by 89 runs. Details are as follows : — Dairymen, 153 for five wickets (Robinson 62, Catterall 39 not out, Coates 27), v. Karangahape, 64 (Johnstone 15, Eaton 12). Bowling for Karangahape, Ray secured two wickets for 26 runs, and Johnstone ono wicket for 17. For Dairymen, Baker took eight wickets for 23 runs, Coates, one wicket tor 21, and Blackie one wicket for 8. CHURCHES' ASSOCIATION. Following is the draw for the junior matches on Saturday under the auspices of the Auckland Churches' Cricket Association : — St. James's v. W.Y.M.1.; St. John's v. St. Mary's; Devonport v. Akarana; St. Luke's v. Kingsland; Y.M.0.A., a bye. With the exception of the match between Akarana and Devonport, these games will bo played at Victoria Park, instead of at the Domain.
