At the present moment messages have to pass through ,3? When the new line is completed communication between the two oflices will be absolutely unbroken. The new cable will come ashore at Mmiwai. on the west coast. It will then be earned overland to Harkm s f V " h ° ® bo carried down the Waitemata Harbour to Ponsonbv. Final communication with the Auckland Post OUico will be made by means of an overland duet.
