BARONET'S DIVORCE.

DECREE NISI IN SOCIETY SUIT. Suspicions of his wife's infidelity caused a baronet to set a watch upon her movements, and the result of the observations was a petition for divorce. The parties in tho action, in which a decree nisi was granted six months ago, were Sir Frederick William Hervey Bathuirgt, wh.o sought a divorce from his wife, Lady Maria Hervey BaUiurst, by reason of her misconduct with Pierre Marquis do Jancoart. The final stage of tlio suit was now reached in tho Vacation Court, when tho decree was pronounced absolute. Petitioner, who is the holder of the baronetcy, retired from the Grenadier Guards a few years ago, alter having served in the Nile Expedition and in South Africa. In 1901, bo married respondent, a daughter of the 14th Baron Inchiquin, and sister of tho present peer. It appeared that differences arose between them, and they separated in 1905, subsequent procoedings ending in a separation. At tUo beginning of last year petitioner had reason to believe that an intimacy had existed between his wife and co-respondent. Observation was kept on the movements of the lady, and she was found to be in Paris and to journey with co-respondent to Fontaineblcau, where they spent some timo together. Evidence was given that they went about together in taxi-cabs, and "at hotels they passed as "Monsieur and Madame Joubert." At tho time the decree nisi was granted it was arranged that both parents should have access to the child of the marriage, and an allowance was made to respondent.
