Per Joan Craig, from Newcastle: 1275 tons coal. The barque Kona sailed from Newcastle yesterday for Auckland with a cargo of coal. Mr. T. F. Adamson, chief engineer of the oil steamer Southern, who camo ashore at Auckland to undergo an operation, which proved most successful, left for Wellington by the Wimmera yesterday to rejoin his vessel. The Norwegian barque Eos was floated out of the Graving Dock yesterday morning, and towed to an anchorage in the stream. She sails for Kaipara with the first favourable breeze, where she loads timber for Melbourne.

The Monowai left Wellington last evening for Napier, Gisborue, and Auckland. An the vessel is runring a day behind her usual time this trip, sh i is not due here until Friday morning. Tho tugs Akaroa, Waitangi, and Lyttelton arrived in port yesterday morning -with rafts of logs from coastal timber porta. The mail steamer Tahiti arrived at Sydney yesterday from San Francisco and Wellington. She is scheduled to leave on tho return voyage on November 2. The New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Xlcmucra is to leave Wellington to-morrow after- • noon for London, via Monte Video, Teneriffe, and Plymouth. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion steamer Kia Ora tailed at 6.30 a.m. yesterday for Wellington, Lyttellcn. and Ihiiiedin to complete her discharge of Liverpool cargo. On completion of discharge at Diinedin, the Kia Ora loads at various Dominion ports for London, and sails finally about November 28, in time to catch the January wool sales. Last ni'.-ht the Wellington radio station advised that the steamers Moeraki (Sydney to Wellington), line (Itarotonga to Auckland), Victoria (Auckland to Sydney), Ulimaroa (Bluff to Hobart), Wimmcra (Auckland to Gisbornel, and Itimutaka (H"bart to Wellington) were within wireless range. Cable advice received from London intimates that the Tyscr steamer Star of Scotland has arrived at tlm Home port- from Wellington, which port she left on August 28. The vessel subsequently go's to New York to load for Australian and New Zealand ports. The Katoa sailed at 11 o'clock last nijh't for Kaipnra, where she loads a cargo of timber for Sydney. MTJRITAI LEAVES LONDON. According to cable advice- received from London, tho Tyser steamer Muritai was despatched from the llome port on Monday for Melbourne, Sydney, Auckland, Napier, and 'Wellington. The Muritai is due at Auckland about December 9. COLLIERS' MOVEMENTS The steamer Joan Craig arrived ir. tbr. stream at Auckland early yesterday morning from New- . castle, which port sho left oil Wednesday last. The vessel berthed at the Railway Wharf at 7 ' a.m. to discharge a part cargo of coal. She will probably go to Chelsea to-day, and, aft»v coaling the sugar steamer Fiona, proceeds to Kaipara to load- timber for an Australian port. Tho Union Company's turret-deck steamer Koromiko arrived from Westport at 6 a.m. yesterday. The vessel brought a full cargo of coal, and berthed at the Queen-street, Wharf to discharge. Xhs Koromlio returns to Westport on Friday. The Kauri is expected to leave Newcastle tomorrow for Auckland with a full cargo of coal. She is expected here about Monday next.
