ANGLICAN SYNOD.
[ THE SECOND SESSION. Tub second session of the 20th Synod of the Anglican Diocese of Auckland will open in the cathedral library,; Bishopscourt, Parnell, on Friday next, and be continued for a week; ' On' the opening day holy communion will be celebrated in St. Mary's Cathedral at 8.30 a.m.; after which clergy and laymen 1 will breakfasti with the Bishop. At three p.m. the Bishop will deliver his charge, after which Synod; will .: adjourn. On the following - days Synod will sit from 2.30 to 5.50 p.m., and from 7.30 to 10 p.m. Committee meetings will be held in the mornings. During theweek services will be held daily at mosb of the city and suburban churches, and on Sunday next there will be special preachers at all services.- ' On Thursday, and ; Friday of this week three mass meetings will be held in the Choral Hall, the first being for girls, th& second for women, and the third a mis-i sionary meeting. The Bishop will preside at each meeting, and on Tuesday} morning he will preside at a lay-readcra* conference in the cathedral library. ■
