BRITISH PARTY LEADERS.
MR.> BONAR LAW'S VIEW OF MR. ASQUITH. RECORD PLEDGE BREAKER. LLOYD-GEORGE AND CLASS '", HATRED. By Telegraph Treat '■ Association.—Copyright. (Received October 13, 5.5 p.m.)
London, October 12. In presiding at a banquet given last night to the victorious Unionist candidates at recent - by-elections Mr. Bonar Law. (Leader of the Unionist party) declared that, the Prime Minister (Mr. Asquith) had. broken all records for breaches of faith' and had changed the meaning of the English language.
A political pledge now, he said, did not mean in the Radical 'Prime Minister's mouth an obligation that he, felt bound to fulfil.
Mr. Lloyd-George, said Mr. Law, was a born demagogue, and was sure to produce a dangerous policy and to re-emphasise in an even shriller note than hitherto the gospel of class hatred.
