HEADMASTERS' ASSOCIATION".
The monthlv meeting of headmasters was held on Friday evening ]a.=,t in the New Zealand Education Institute Clubrooms, Shortland-street. Mr. N. It. McKenzio, president, occupied the chair. At the suggestion of Mr. T. V- Wells-, M.A., discussion of the proposed agricultural college was deferred for the present!- A communication was received from the Wellington Headmasters' Association, calling attention to the disorganisation of school work caused by training scholars to perform at school concerts. After soma discussion, the following resolution was passed:—"That, this association is of opinion that school eoncerts should 'be discouraged."
ORDER OF GOOD TEMPLARS. The weekly session of the Ark of Eden Lodge of Good Templars was held on Friday evening in tho Eden Terrace Public Hall, Sister Williams, Chief Templar, presiding over a largo attendance of membors and visitors. After tho usual business routine the following contributed to a short programme:—Sisters Williams (2), Winks, Hay ward, and Schmidt, Brothers Hunter (2), Wiltshire, Spain, and Ingram.
