Wellington, Thursday. The condemnation of 400 cases of oranges .at Auckland was mentioned by Mr. A. /w. Glover . (Auckland Central) in the •House of Representatives this afternoon. •_ Mr. Glover said that the fruit was .passed by (lie inspector at Rarotonga, but was condemned on arrival at Auckland, .en , tho ground that it was affected by •Mediterranean fly., The cost of destroying the oranges at Auckland and the weight were ail lost by tho merchant. Surely the Government Inspector at RarO- _ tonga should be able to prevent this, and " he could not he. ought to be recalled. The-Minister for Agriculture (Hon. W. • • Massey) promised to make inquiry regarding the matter. " !
