MEETING- OF TRUSTEES.
[by telegraph.—press ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Wednesday. A meeting of til© board -of trustees; appointed under tho will of tho lato Mr. T. G. McCarthy was held in tho Cabinetroom in Government Buildings this morning. In addition to trustees.—His Excellency tho Governor, tho Prime Minister (Hon. W. F. Massoy), Mayor of Wellington (Mr. 1). McLaren), and Archbishop Redwood— wero present tho Public Trustee (Dr. Fitcliett), tho Inspector-Gene-ral of Hospitals (Dr. Valintine), Mrs. McCarthy, and Mr. C. P. Skerrett, K.C., solicitor to the late Mr. McCarthy.
His Excellency the Governor read a memorandum containing suggestions as to tho best manner of dealing with charities, and was thanked for doing so.
Consideration of tho memorandum was deferred.
