Colonel Barclay has ■ accepted a scat on the District Committee. ■ The District Committee will meet at the Y.M.C.A. next Saturday evening. The business is important, and every member 13 requested to bo present. Tiio secretary of the Wellington Competitions Society has written inviting entries from Auckland for the scout sections, viz., first aid, shelter building, resuscitation, and bridge building.' _ Tho . First Eden Troop, Scoutmaster Thomas, gave a concert in St. Andrew's Parish Hall last Friday evening. Mr. Hull presided. The hall was filled, and the scouts, assisted by friends, provided an excellent programme. It has been decided to arrange a. meeting of all the troops at the Town Hall on Sunday afternoon, October 6, at three o'clock, when the scouts will he addressed I by chaplains and others oil '' Citizenship." j The Mayor will be asked to preside.
