Cable advice has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Company to tho effect that the steamer Remuera sailed from London on July 27 for Wellington, via the usual way porta. On arrival the Makura will berth at the outer western tec of the Queen-street Wharf, and after taking on board New Zealand passengers, mails, cargo, and stores. Shortly before 10 a.m. yesterday the Union Company's steamer Mokoia arrived from Southern and East Coast ports, after a line weather passago. The previous vessel was the Gulf Stream, of Glasgow, and the one posted on June .5 was the ship Queen Victoria, also of Glasgow, which has disappeared with all on board, while Homeward bound from the West Coast of South. America. , Laden .with nitrate,' the Queen Victoria set sail from Tocopilla, in Chili, on November 16 last, bound for the. United Kingdom-Conti-nent, and under favourable conditions should have been reported in the Channel early in March. From the day she put to" 1 sea nothing has , been herrd .of her.
