FOOTBALL. THE RUGBY GAME. Sidney UNIVERSITY team tour abandoned.
THE secretary of the Sydney University Football Club has written stating that ths proposed tour of Now Zealand by the team has had to be abandoned. This Is duo in great measure to tho large number of minor casualties which have befallen members of the team when engaged in the Sydney competitions. The in juries for the most part were not serious, though two players sustained broken collarbones, and another a broken leg. It is to ho much regretted that, the team is unable to make the tour, as some interesting games should have resulted.
PUBLIC SCHOOL MATCHES. In anticipation of tho approaching representative- lixture with the Waikn.to hoys, the selectors of the A.P.S.It.U. have chosen the following fifteens from the li and 0 grades— competitions in those graded being now concluded—to take part in a trial match to-morrow.
