It is no use tho priesthood agitatj in" for the introduction of Scripture ill Mtato ' schools becauso all sects (priesthood) como ; from men. Tho Minister for Education j should commission toino _ non-sectarian j moralist to write a treatiso in simple j language on various moral subjects, such as J honesty, truth, sincerity, kindness, thoroughj ness, dignity, moderation, tomperateness, ! benevolence, consistency, generosity, and a ) score of others, one chapter to each subject, I to bo used in school as a reading-book. ! Also for poetry some of tho superb poems lof Ella Wheeler Wilcox. Without doubt j the young at school would absorb teachings j that thoy would never probably ever again have a chance of learning in later life, and the noblest qualities of the British race that have in ado tho Empire great would thereby be perpetuated.
