THE VANCOUVER SERVICE.
MANUKA A FULL SHIP,
TrrK increasing popularity of the Vancouver service as a means of Travel is shown by tho fact that the Makura, sailing from Auckland.this afternoon for tho Canadian port, takes about 270 passengers in all classes. Of this number, 32 first, 40 second and 15 third-class passengers are joining tho vessel at Auckland, and come from ail parts of Now Zealand. As on previous trips, tho majority of the passengers are proceeding from Australia., the Makura on tho present trip having about 193 from the Commonwealth on board. There is still a demand for New Zealand butter in Canada, and tho Makura will load some 4000 boxes to-day, in addition to lines of bides, wool, flax, etc. The vessel is expected to arrive from Sydney early this morning, and will berth at the outer eastern tee of the Queenstreet Wharf. She is timed to sail at four I p.m. ;
