"TIME A CHANGE WAS MADE."
[BY TELEGRAPH.PRESS ASSOCIATION.] GmusTcacßCH, Friday. A public meeting of footballers and those interested in football was held to-night. An address was delivered by Mr. 1). W. McLean, president of the New Zealand Rugby League. There was a fair sprinkling of senior Rugby players, but the majority consisted of those taking their football from the back of the stand. The following motion was agreed to :— " That this meeting is of opinion that the lima is now opportune for a material change in the game and the control of Rugby football, and further, that we are convinced that the adoption of the League game would be a step in the direction of such a change." Only a comparatively small section of those present voted.
