FOUR DEAD: EIGHT DYING.
COLLAPSE OF A PIPE TRENCH.
T,y Telegraph— Press Association.—Copyright. Quebec, July 25. Twelve workmen have been buried alive by the caving in of the sides of a huge ditch in which they were laying a pipe for new pulp mills. Four of the men were dead when uncovered, and the others are dying.
A crowd of people who assembled heard the groans of the buried men, but rescuers were unable to reach them in time.
