GAGGED AND ROBBED.

* A SENSATION AT WAIHI.

[BY TELEGRAPH. OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Waihi, Friday. In .the early hours of Saturday morning last a young man named O'Shea was held up and robbed in Kenny-street, Waihi, while on his way home from a social. The victim was accosted by two men, one of whom held his hands while the other gagged him with a handkerchief, after which they rifled his pockets, securing lis in cash, and a silver watch chain. O'Shea had, fortunately, placed a gold watch valued at £15 in one of the inside pockets of his overcoat when at the social, with the result that the timepiece was saved. Owing to the darkness the victim was unable to clearly describe his assailants.
