[BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.]. . » ';f Christchxjrch, Thursday. • At a meeting of the Addington branch of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants, the following motion. was car* ried unanimously branch is opposed to any proposal to import, a so-called expert from abroad, at a high salary, to manage the New Zealand railways, and would urge upon the executive council the necessity for resisting this proposal to the utmost, if any attempt is made by those in authority to carry it into effect.'; It was further resolved to communicate with all other branches throughout the Dominion asking for their support. ;
