TWO FIRES IN WELLINGTON.
• [BI anoußCiufK.—KUS9 assooxatios.] Wellington, Thursday. finonxLT before four o'clock this morning a foe broke out. in an, unoccupied house of 12 rooms in Kelburne, owned by Mrs. Jane Shuta. The flames had a strong hold before the brigade arrived, and the house -was practically destroyed. It was insured in the London and Lancashire for % ' £1100. The cause of the fire ia unknown. ,i p Two.hours later Norman Gibbs'e sevenV ' ■ roomed residence in Waipapa Road, Hataitai, was partly destroyed by fire. No .... one was in the place at the time, Mr. • *Csibbs and family being at Plimmerton. ~ The home -was insured in the British Dominions office far £1200, and the contents for £550 in the same office, and £50 in, the Royal Company. The origin of the fire is unknown.
