Accused, who was cn route for Gisborno when arrested, was remanded to appear at Wlmngarei next Thursday, bail being allowed in two sureties of £50. A young man, named Victor Todd, was charged on two counts with indecent assault. Accused entered a plea of guilty, and was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. For insobriety' one first offender was fined ss, with costs. Hie master of a scow was charged with failing to keep a, light burning for the convenience -of persons boarding and leaving the vessel. The defendant deposed that he had placed a light in position, but it had been taken down in his absence, and an inadequate one substituted. A fine of ss, with 43s costs, was imposed.
