THE AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION. ,

The '.usual, weekly i meeting of the Executive Committee of the Auckland Hockey Association was hold in the Amateur Sports Olubroom. Mr. H. D. Hill presided, and there were also present: Messrs. R. H. Partoir, H. D. Caro, A. M. Rowe, H. A. Lepine, P. B. Taylor, T. D. Wrigley, L. H. Norton (hon. secretary), and E. Hay and R. P. Dykes (Ecferceu' Association).

Permission was ganted for Parnell, leaders in tho B Boction of the senior grade, to play Mount Eden, the last team in the A sect ion, to decide which team shall play in the A section during the second round. This match will be played on Saturday. Other senior fixtures will be postponed, but an A and B trial match will bo played on Victoria Park. Two Mount Eden, players were re-graded— L. Drawer, senior to second grade, and A. Bailey, second to third grade. ' A. Speed, of tho Tui Club, was granted a transfer to the St. James's Club. July 20 was accepted for the shield match against Wellington at Wellington,'subject to Wellington successfully defending the shield against Canterbury on June 29. A senior player, N. R. Jacohsen, of the University, was reported, for making a remark to a referee after being warned, during the progress of a game on Saturday last. Evidence disclosed that the remark was made to another player, and not to the referee. The player was warned > against making remarks that might bo construed as insulting to a referee. Business relating to the " White Horse " cup competition was dealt with. The Rod*ney Association was allotted the Rodney County as its territory, the Fiako Association the counties of Piako and Ohincmuri, and the Auckland Wednesday Association Auckland and suburbs. Draft rules relating to the competition wero submitted by the secretary, and it was decided to hold a meeting of delegates of all 6ub-associations on Thursday next, to discuss the advisability or-otherwise of holding a country week, and to deal with other matters.
