BOWLING.
MOUNT ALBERT CLUB.
The annual meeting of the Mount Albert Bowling Club was attended by a large number of members. The president, Mr. T. B. Clay, was in the chair. The annual report and balance-sheet were adopted. They showed the affairs of the club to be in a very flourishing condition, there being a very 68-t.isfactorT credit balance. The winners of tho different club competitions were aa follows: Champion Singles: T. A. Ashton. Club Fours: A- J. Jenkin. R. Mcßride, J. M. Smith, J. Potter. Club Pairs: T. A. Ashton and J. Potter. The present holders of trophies were:— St. George's badge, J. H. Garlick; McLean buckle?, T. A. Ashton. J. M. Muir, S. Rowles. and J. Potter; Ferndalo stars, M. J. Coyle and R. Mcßride. Tho following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—Patron, the Hon. Geo. Fowlds; president, Mr. J. H. Garlfck; vicepresidents, Messrs. A. J. Jenkirr' and E. Hiddall; secretary, Mr. R. Mcßride; treasurer, Mr. J. Potter; green superintendent, Mr. J. Herbert; assistant green superintendent. Mr. J. M. Smith; auditor, Mr. A. Darrow: General Committee, Messrs. G. Rowles, R. Nesbitt, and T. B. Clay; Match Committee, Messrs. A. J. .Tonkin, H. McNaughton, J. Herbert; delegates to Auckland Bowling Association, Messrs. T. A. Ashton and R. Mcßride.
' Votes of thanks were accorded to the retiring officers and to the ladies for dispensing afternoon lea.
