AUCKLAND CLUB.

The Auckland Golf Club's continuous putting; competition over nino holes for the month of April was won by EL A. Milnes with a round: of 18 strokes. The course has now been extended, and for . the current month the competition will be over 12 holes. Tho green is showing improvement each week, and is becoming very much in request, and the practice' afforded to this important branch of the game should go a Ion? way to the improvement of the standard of play of members. It is on tho putting greens where tho matches of any note have been won or lost.
