POSTLE AND DONALDSON.

MAY MEET IN AUCKLAND AGAIN. [BY TELEGRAM.—OWN" COBUESPOXDBST.] TE KUITI, Thursday. At the social held in the Town Hall on. Wednesday evening: Mr. A. Julian, chairman of the Sports Committee, on behalf of his fellow-members, presented A. B. Postle. tlie world's record-breaker, with a valuable piece of greenstone. Mr. Julian referred to Postle in most eulogistic terms, and considered that the residents of Te Kuiti and district had been done an honour by his presence. Mr. N. C. Matthew endorsed the chairman's remarks. Postle suitably replied. Subsequently, Mr. J. Trinnear, secretary of the New Zealand Athletic Union, announced that providod an agreement could be arrived at between the union and the Auckland Exhibition authorities, Postlo would again meet Donaldson at the time of the Exhibition. Postle, on being questioned by a. reporter later, verified the statement, and said lie was keen to meet ,Donaldson again on New Zealand grounds. He concluded by saying that he thought he could repeat his Auckland performance. "I am in love with the Auckland track," he remarked.

THE AMATEUR SPORT.

PIONEER HARRIERS' ANNUAL MEETINGThe first annual meeting' of the Pioneer Harriers' Club was held in the Amateur Sports Clubrooms. Mr. C. 11. Robertson presided over a large attendance. The treasurer's report showed a credit balance of 14s, which was very satisfactory, considering that no membership fee was charged last season, all receipts being made up of voluntary donations by members. The club's name was changed from Pioneer Harriers to Auckland Harriers. The club's colours were altered, the colours adopted being black knickers and red singlet, with a, badge A.H. The following officers were elected:—President, Mr. J. E. Fagau; vice-presideaitß. Messrs. Francis Hull, J. P. Jerratt. J. J. Mulvihill, Hall Skelton; captain. Mr. C. Reid; deputy-captain, Mr. D. Black; lion, secretarv, Mr. C. R. Robertson; hou. treasurer, Mr. H. Fletcher; handicapper, Mr. H. Fielder; auditor, Mr. A. Black; committee, in addition to above officers, Messrs. H. Haywood, H. McLcod, C. McCullam, U. Ornstem. The first run is to take place from the Domain en Saturday, April 13, at 2.45 p.m. All members and intending members are invited to attend, and take part in the run. Anyone wishing to join the club, or requiring information, is requested to apply to the secretary.
