Her voice ia even in quality, and of good oompass. She v, sings easily, as .was noted in the somewhat florid song "Tell Me My Heart," , which, for such a young - student, was well sung. Miss Brooke-Smith's voice has ' i increased considerably in power, - and is . •"? sympathetic. She gave very pleasing renderings of ""Orpheus With His Lute "< IMS and "The Swallows." The sensational picture, ' The Flight to Death,"and the superb coloured flower study, "The Gladiolus Family/' came in for much applause.
