The secretary of the Waikato Agricultural and Pastoral Association has received the following letter from Mr. H. J. Stringer, secretary of the Auckland Farmers' Freezing Company:—"Wo have pleasure in handing you herewith th© report and result of the judging of the 50 lambs sent to London from your November show; also account sales for same. Both the report and account sales are very gratifying, the only causo for regret being the small quantity of lambs available for freezing. Referring to tho 50 prize Jambs, and on which you wished us to resort as to suitability for the London market, we have pleasure in infonniug yon that they turned out a very choice parcel of lambs indeed, and superior to those sent in previous years. Th© dressing and general appearance was all that could be desired, and the lambs arrived in splendid condition, protected as they were by the hessian bags. We had considerable difficulty in awarding the first prize, for pens 1199, 1202. and 1203 were so close in every respect that it was difficult to choose between them. After carefully examining them from every point, it was finally decided to award first prize to pen 1205. second to pen 1202, and third to pen 1199. On the whole you aro to be congratulated on th© shipment, and It is evident that each year snows a marked improvement in your stock- If you oould only shin lines of lambs like the above lots, you would easily take first place as far as North Island lambs are concerned." The following are the owners of th© pens referred t0:—1199, A. Loriie: 1203. Goodwin Bros.: 1200. A Lorie: 1201, F. E. Ross: 1201. Goodwin Bros.; 1205, W. Chitty; 1206, W. Chittj:: 1207. R. F. Bollard: 1208. A. J. Melville. The amount realised from the sal© of the lambs was £40 9s. and charges amounted to £2 Ids. tho not proceeds being £-37 13s.
