HAMILTON. [BT TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Hamilton, Monday. < At a Bitting of the Hamilton Licensing Bench today, Mr. F. O'B. Loughnan, S.M., presiding, transfers of licenses were granted as follows: —Hamilton Hotel, from J. B. Hooper to F. J. Swindell; the Commercial Hamilton, from D. Norden to G:" Bodley; and the Harbour View; Hotel, Raglan, from -J. Darrow to S. J. Rawlinson.. j At the. meeting of the Kirikiriroa Road i Board Mr. A. H. Waring, of Taupiri, I wrote complaining of the danger of the j Mission railway crossing. The matter was J left in the hands of the chairman. The i district engineer wrote approving of the j plans and specifications for the Eureka main road to the railway station. The j secretary reported that the' amount of I rates outstanding was £1144 15s 3d, and | the bank balance debit £1055 3s sd. Ac- } counts amounting to £129 7s Id were j passed for payment. BOMBAY. [from our OWN* CORRESPONDENT.] A meeting of the Bombay branch of the ! Farmers' Union was held in the Public Hall on Saturday, Mr. W. Thomas (chairman) presiding. There was a good . attendance. It was unanimously decided J that application be made for a new post office in Bombay, and a committee was formed to canvass the district for signatures to a petition for that'object.
