The mineral-output of New South Wales during 1911 was valued at £9,758,006, an increase of £1,021,538 over that of the previous year, and. with the exception of 1907, the best in the State's history. The only decreased output was in the gold production. ' ;
At the last' meeting of the Wanganui Harbour Board notice of motion was tabled to the effect that the Board rescind its previous resolution to promote a Bill to raise a loan of £250,000 for harbour improvement, and that, it take steps .to raise £100,000 instead. The new loan would be used for the purchase of a dredge to.deepen the river channel to,the town.
