FILLING THE VACANCY
[ST TELEGRAPH.— ASSOCIATION.] Nelson, Wednesday. The Diocesan Synod met in special Bession to-day for the election of a bishop to succeed Dr. Mules, resigned. The proceedings were in camera. It is understood that seven nominations were received of clergy in various parts of the Dominion. The ballots were not concluded when the Synod adjourned late tonight:
