SUSPENSION ENDORSED.

At a, meeting of the New Zealand Boxing Council lengthy correspondence was received from the Hawke's Bay centre detailing the circumstances which led to the suspension of two competitors and two seconds who had taken part in & competition promoted by the Hawke's Bay Association and carried out by that body oh October 11 find, 12, 1911. The" centre recommended that th«, two competitors should be suspended for dx mc-"'i<s each and the two seconds for threw* and five y»irs respectively. Bote seconds, the osrrespond*yoe stated, had been guilty «* serious misconduct on the Bt»Ke on the occasion of the;
competition referred to, And, In addition, one <& them had succeeded in inducing the two competitors to withdraw from the event in which, they should have taken part on the second night. .After some discussion, is ww decided to endorse the suspensions; that the t?o competitors should be each [suspended for a period of six months commencing from July 1, 1912; that the two seconds thould be each suspended for a period of two years for misconduct on tho atage; and that an additional! term of one year should bo imposed upon the second who wan responsible for the withdrawal of the two competitors, the suspensions to take effect as from January 1, 1312. The Southland Association furnished particular* concerning the suspension of a competitor wh» bad been guilty of misconduct in the ring at th* association's tournament, held on September 27, 1911. The competitor had bwn suspended for ft period of two years. The action of the Southland Association was endorsed, the suspension for two years taking effect from November 12. ISII. It was decided to take a mail rote with respect to Clause K of the rule relating to the control of professional championships.
