Hon. R. McKenzie, who has been visiting Lako - Waikaremoana in connection with the proposed electrical power station there, arrived in. Gisborno last evening by motor car from airoa.

Esir John Kirk, tho well-known philanthropist, will arrive by tho Main Trunk express to-morrow morning, and will be the guest of the Young Men's Christian Association for the day. .

The Rev. F. W. Chattcrton officiated, msisted by the Rev. Pino Tamahori. The bride was given away by her father, while Misses Tiramato Paraono and Thoodora Chatterton attended its bridesmaids, and Mr. A. J. Kaipara acted as best man.

Mr. E. D. O'Rorke, master of the Pahuranca Hunt Club, who is leaving New Zealand for England, was presented at a meeting of the members of the club yesterday with a solid silver double inkstand, bearing the following inscription Presented to E. D. O'Rorke, Esq.. by the members of the Pakirrangft Hunt Club 'as a token of the many good runs we have had under his mastership." Sir Robert Lockhart. made tho presentation, and wished Mr. and Mrs O'Rorke. and family a safe arrival in the Old Country. Mr. W. R. Bloomfield also expressed the regret of the members of the club at Mr. O'Rorke's departure. Mr. O'Rorke feelingly replied, and tho meeting closed with the singing of "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow" and cheers for Air O'Rorke, Mrs. O'Rorke, and family.
