London, October 29. . It is stated in Malta that the Canadian Government has purchased the British cruiser Aboukir.
Th*3 armoured cruiser Aboukir is of 12,000 tons and 21,375 indicated horsepower, giving -a speed of lii fcrot-s. She was completed in 1902 at a cost of £751,118. * Her arresn-eni is two 9.2 in guns, twelve 6in-, and twelve 12-pounders, with smaller guns.
