SUPPOSED SUICIDE.
BULLET THROUGH THE HEAD. " * fBT TELEGRAPH. — ASSOCIATION-.] Carterton, Tuesday. Hews was- received in Carterton at a late hour last night that a man named H. Scott had been found at Te Whau in an unconscious condition, with a bullet wound in his head. The Carterton police, accompanied by a medical man, went out. They ordered his removal to the hospital, but he died on (he way. He had a ; wound over his left eye, inflicted by a : pea rifle, which was found lying close beside his body. The circumstances point to- suicide, but no cause is assigned for the deed. The man is aged about 45, and ■was well-known in Wairarapa. ,•
