GOLF.
PAEROA CLUB. CLOSING OF THE SEASON. [BY TELFGRAPH —Owjr CORRESPONDENT.] Taeroa, Monday. The Paeroa Golf Club's links were formally closed for the season on Saturday afternoon, when the members were entertained bv Mrs. E. W. Porritt and Mrs. 11. T. Bush. Competitions were held during the afternoon, the approaching and putting for ladies being won by Mrs. Murphy and for men by Clarkson. The driving competition for ladies was won by Mrs. Murphy and for men by Porritt. The prizes won during the season were presented by the president (Mr. E. W. Porritt) ad follows: —President's trophy, Dc Castro; vice-president's.trophy, Miss Hubbard ; captain's trophy, Clarkson ; handicapper's trophy, Mrs. Black; lady captain's trophy, Mrs. Murphy; lady secretary's trophy, Mrs. V. Bagnall.
