A number of new players were present^ 4 and there is every hope for a successful season. The ladies supplied afternoon tea. The courts were in excellent order, and some fine games .were plaved. Tho first challenge match for the Howard shield will be played at To Kuiti on Saturday next, against the Mangapeehi Club.
