NEW ZEALAND'S CONTRIBUTION.

Wellington, Tuesday.•Mr. Martin Kennedy, who did so much to make the tour of New Zealand by the Irish delegates a success, has just received an official: receipt for the' second instalment of the New Zealand contribution, signed by Bishop O'Donnell, Mr. J. E. Redmond,, and Mr. John Fitzgibbon, trustees of the Home Rule fund. With it came the following letter from Mr. John Redmond himself:—" Dear Mr. Kennedy, I beg to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of July 28, enclosing a credit note . for £4500. This with £4000 already received, from , you by the envoys makes a 1 total of £8500 received by us so far as the result of the > New' Zealand mission. I need not sav that we and the whole- of the Nationalists in Ireland are deeply grateful, for this most magnificent and generous support. We are now entering on the last lap, and nothing short of * some, quite unforeseen political earthquake can: prevent an early triumph- of Home Rule. -When: that data comes we all will gladly and proudly acknowledge how much Ireland owes to the Irishmen of New Zealand- and fore- 1 most among them to you. The last instalment was cabled Home quite recently, making the total of the net contribution of the • Dominion to the fund nearly £9880.
