He intends spending a short holiday at Rotorua before proceeding to Sydney. ..,«

The death of Mr. St., Lawrence Toner took place at his residence at Parnell on. Saturday, at the early age of 40 years. Shortly after his arrival in the Dominion from his native city of Dublin Mr. Toner was attached to the staff of Sir James Carroll, when the latter toured the <Jrewera Country. • ' On leaving the Government service the deceased came to AuckA land, where he married Miss Rita Tole, niece of the Hon. J. A. Tole. He was widely known in musical circles, and had ■ been 'engaged in the profession of vocal music teacher in Napier for a number of Years.
