I The members of the Lyttelton Waterside Workers' Union : took & .ballot" on Saturday' night yon the question oil cancelling : the registration of the union under the Conciliation and Arbitration Act. The result of . the ballot showed that : 75 per cent, of the members voted in favour of the cancellation of the registration, and steps are now to be taken to give effect to this decision. Speaking to a reporter Mr. H. R. Voyce, secretary of j the union, said the workers were beginning to realise that' the Arbitration Court as at present constituted had outlived its usefulness and did not exist' for the betterment of the conditions for the working man..
