BUTTER GETTING CHEAPER.
DROP OF THREEPENCE.
[by TELEGRAPH. —SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT.] Wellington, Thursday. The retail price of butter, in Wellington was last evening lowered by 3d per lb for standard brands. The price is, therefore, Is 2d per lb, as against Is 5d yesterday for such brands. The milk supply in the dairying districts is now coming in freely, but complaints are made of dry weather in particular localities.
