LAWN TENNIS.
AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION. A well-attended meeting of delegates to the - Auckland Lawn Tennis Association was held in Mr. W. R. Holmes's office last evening. Mr. 11. R. Cooke (vice-president) occupied the chair. The report of the last quarterly meeting of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association was read end received. The principal business before the ' .meeting was the grading of clubs for the forthcoming inter-club competition. After a long discussion, a motion by Mr. Hickson was carlied, grading the clubs as follows:— First Grade: Eden and Epsom, West End, Parnell. Second Grade: Eden and Epsom No. 2 team, Farnell No. 2 team. West End No. 2 team. Devonport No. 1 team, Remuera No. 1 team, Auckland No. 1 team, Onchunga. No. 1 tram. Third Grade: Mount Albert No. 1 team. Otaiuhu No. 1 team, Birkenhead No. 1 team, Devonport No. .2. team, Remuera No. 2 team, Auckland ; No. 2 team, Onehunga No. 2 team. g The matter of arranging the mode of scoring £ points for the various grade championships and •, other details were left to a sub-committee to 'report to the next monthly meeting of the association.: I
